Priest (2011 film)
Priest is an upcoming futuristic superhero vampire western horror film 3D loosely based on the manhwa, the Korean name for comics and print cartoons, of the same name. The film is directed by Scott Stewart and stars Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet and Maggie.

Plot
Set 100 years from now after the war between Christians and Satanists, the film is about a Christian warrior priest (Paul Bettany) who disobeys church law by teaming with a young sheriff (Cam Gigandet) and a priestess (Maggie Q) to track down a cult of vampire outlaws that is led by a former Christian and now a Satanic priest, Black Hat, who kidnapped his niece before they brainwash her.

Production
Andrew Douglas (The Amityville Horror remake) was originally set to direct the movie with Gerard Butler and Steven Strait set to star, but the plans fell through.
Director Scott Stewart revealed in a January 2010 interview that the film's non-human, "feral" vampires will be digitally generated. read more
Release:
The film was initially set to premiere on 14 January 2011. Sony announced on Wednesday 28 April 2010 that the release date has been moved to 4 March 2011. The release date was again moved to May 13, 2011 It Will Be Released In 3D
